A Brief History of the College
The New M.Ed College,
Nellimoodu, is proposed to start during 2007-08, as self-
financing Teacher Education Institution, which applied
for the affiliation from the University of Kerala and
recognition by the Govt of Kerala. The college has 8.5
acres of land and is situated in the sub-urban part of
Thiruvananthapuram District, just 20 kms from the state
capital and is well connected by road.
The college is owned and managed by a management committee.
The management also runs an aided Higher Secondary School
& B.Ed College. The School and the B.Ed College are
located within the premise. The school functions as the
Model School of the college.
The college has well-experienced and dedicated faculty.
The college offers transportation facility, hostel facility
and canteen for students and staff. The college has all
modern facilities like well equipped labs, audio visual
aids, well stocked library, playground etc. Since its
inception, the college has grown to a reputed institution
offering Quality Education in Kerala. To ensure all round
development of personality, curricular and co-curricular
activities are given due importance in the College. The
college has a good trail of academic achievements.
